i’m getting an outpatient procedure done next week that MIGHT reduce my neuro- and systemic inflammation, but it also might irreparably damage the nerves in my neck. i don’t want to get this procedure done but i also can’t bear living in constant pain anymore. the nurse assistant called today and told me 1) the doctor has never done this procedure before, but he’s “confident everything will be fine” 2) if i reschedule for a new doctor it might take months 3) the medical staff is unwilling to wear n95s while in the room with me, but they’re “amenable to wearing surgicals.” i am literally immunocompromised and GETTING THIS PROCEDURE because of a bullshit virus hijacking my body. idk what to do with these people anymore
